The ballast trolley is designed to accompany the towing trolley, assisting it in releasing the towing rope along flat sections of the line. The trolley rests on the supporting rope via two pulleys and is positioned upstream of the towing trolley. This model is compatible with the CRG and HT models. Stability on the supporting rope is ensured by two anti-skid blocks with automatic opening and closing for proper passage over the support shoe. The towing rope enters the trolley and is secured via a clamp. As an option, additional ballast weights can be added.

The Greifenberg BMG reel is a complete mobile unit on wheels, capable of containing and recovering the supporting rope. The BMG is also the only reel approved for road circulation. Its structure consists of a frame equipped with a towing hitch for connection to the tractor and an axle with brakes. The large size of the reel allows for a high capacity for rope storage, and it is directly driven by the tractor’s PTO, with the reel connected via a differential with full rubber friction wheels and an activation hydraulic system.

The control maneuvers are located on board the machine, and protective covers are present on all moving parts. The hydraulic control system features two pistons that balance the push of the bridge/reducer on the reel. It is equipped with a negative brake that activates automatically through safety devices in the event of an emergency stop. Additionally, it comes with a manual braking device to regulate the unwinding of the rope. On request, a hydraulic system for loading and unloading additional reels can be provided, even with two or three sector models for storing different ropes simultaneously.

Carrier Rope Clamps

Cutting Clamps

The Greifenberg pair of tensioning clamps is a system designed for the tensioning of supporting ropes. The structure and components of the two bodies are made entirely of monolithic steel, and the wedge brake blocks are interchangeable depending on the diameter of the supporting rope to be tensioned. The Greifenberg reduction gearing system includes a series of pulleys through which the service rope is inserted. This system allows the traction force of the service rope to be multiplied eight times and transmitted to the supporting rope. The Greifenberg tensioning clamps are openable with a quick sliding system with a dovetail, ensuring resistance and ease of installation.

Greifenberg designs and manufactures screw tensioning clamps based on the specific needs of each site, meeting the most particular requirements thanks to its well-established design capability and decades of experience.

• Screw clamps for steel ropes from 12 to 70 mm

• Clamps equipped with double half-moons for connection to anchor ropes with diameters up to 40 mm

• Additional clamps for extra loads, compatible and self-aligning

Kites are essential components for fixed cableways with significant lengths. Their function is to support the hauling rope to prevent it from loosening. The kite can be anchored directly to the carrying rope using a screw clamp, or it can be positioned at the height of a falcon and anchored to the supporting shoe. The trolley passes inside the kite, and the hauling rope is correctly supported through anti-derailment devices towards the pulley positioned at the bottom of the kite.

Pulleys

  • t3800

All of the Greifenberg pulley series are made with high-quality materials, and strict regulations regarding curvature radii and bearing surfaces are meticulously followed. Special attention is given to the guidelines concerning the rounding radius of the groove bottom and the diameter around which the rope is deflected, to enhance the technical and functional lifespan of the steel ropes. The structure, pulley, bearings, and bushings are oversized with safety factors of 5 to ensure actual resistance, even under peak overloads, guaranteeing full safety during use. Greifenberg pulleys are synonymous with quality, reliability, and long-term durability.

Fortronics-Greifenberg. An international agreement for the distribution of the most reliable and efficient radio-controlled chokers for professionals. Fortronics, with the Gen 3 models, has reached the third generation of chokers, improving performance and safety. The choker consists of a high-strength steel body, resistant to impacts and wear, and an electrical and mechanical system that allows remote control within it. Simple and safe to attach, they provide the operator with the possibility of reopening without the use of the radio in the event of a closure error. For unloading, Fortronics recommends opening the choker while the load is still lifted. This prepares the choker for pre-opening without releasing it. As soon as the load touches the ground, resting on the surface, the choker will immediately open, preventing it from staying hooked and remaining under tension with the other logs. A unique and safe opening system that never misses a beat. The opening command has its own dedicated radio system, enabling independent use. This system is integrated into all the latest technology transmitters for cableway/winch/trolley systems. Reducing work costs, increasing safety, and boosting profits are just some of the benefits of Fortronics chokers. Chosen by forestry professionals. Chosen for our customers. Chosen to complete the Forestry range of our brand.

Chains and Tracks

  • t3800

Greifenberg is part of the global network of the Pewag company, which offers products suited for every type of vehicle and application. Pewag tracks for forestry machines such as Harvesters, Forwarders, and Skidders are perfectly integrated into our vision for the forestry sector, where safety in the woods, the highest quality standards, long product life, and soil protection are key elements. Pewag forestry tracks ensure optimal traction on all types of terrain, boast high wear resistance, and protect the forest floor in a sustainable manner. Pewag tracks are characterised by the asymmetric placement of the cleats, which increases ground grip, the grooves in the profile, and their larger surface area, which improves wear resistance. The individual profiles of the crossbars enhance off-road mobility, even under overload conditions. The wide, tempered crossbars protect the tyres of the forestry machine from stones and logs. Additionally, the innovative tongue protects the tyre sidewalls, preventing the tracks from slipping laterally.
